    I am a Precision Engineer; toolmaker by trade.  Since 1970 I have owned a small toolmaking company. I am single and live in Chichester, West Sussex. My interests are sailing, Freemasonry and driving Mercedes cars.

  I own a 10 year old sailing yacht, a 32ft. Westerly Fulmar, which is based in Chichester Harbour. Most of our sailing takes place in the Solent in races run by my sailing club. We have, however, made forays to such places Holland, Scilly Isles and St. Malo.

The sailing club I belong to is the Chichester Cruiser Racing Club. This club organises races every week-end round the cans or to other harbours in the Solent or France.

The Mercedes I have at the moment is a green S280. This is 17ft of luxury, and I'm thoroughly spoilt. I also had the opportunity to collect it from the Mercedes factory at Stuttgart, courtesy of Mercedes. It was the best four days I've had. The four star hotels, the visits to the Mercedes factory and the Museum were marvellous.
